Description:

The AEC was formed during the summer of 2005. Its mandate given by the Board of Selectmen is to examine sources of renewable energy and how Cohasset may benefit from them. Among the technologies the AEC has investigated include solar, wind and tidal.  We have concluded wind is the most viable option for our first renewable energy initiative in Cohasset. 

The AEC is also working to perform energy audits of our schools looking for ways to lower our energy usage.
