  1. What are your days and hours of operation?Answers here.
  2. What is the cost to buy a grave? – Woodside Cemetery - $1,500 up to $3,800
    Beechwood Cemetery - $725.00
  3. Where can I purchase pay-per-throw bags? – DPW Building, Recycling Transfer Facility, Stop & Shop, Cohasset Hardware, Josephs Hardware, Fiori’s Exxon, Hingham Lumber, Hingham Tedeschis, Cohasset Food Mart, Cohasset Mobil & All The Best. The town sells a 33 gallon package of 10 bags for $15.00 and a 16 gallon package of 10 bags for $7.50.
  4. Where can I purchase the All Facility Sticker? – The DPW Building Monday through Friday 8:00-2:00 or Cohasset Town Hall, Town Clerks Office during their regular business hours. The town sells the stickers for $50.00 (residents under 60 years of age) and $15.00 for residents over 60 years of age. Each vehicle must have it’s own sticker.
  5. What is the cost of dumping various items? – Recycling Fee Schedule attached.
  6. I have a tree that looks like it’s dying and I would like to have the town remove it? – The DPW will send out it’s Tree Warden Andrew Swanson to determine the ownership and condition of said tree. The town does not treat trees on private property.
  7. Is the street I live on or planning to buy a house on a public or private way? – We do have a list of all streets in Cohasset and whether or not they are private or public as does the Town Clerk.
  8. When is Hazardous Waste Day? – Hazardous Waste Day has been for the last few years, a combined collection day with the Town of Hull. It is usually held during the month of June.   9. Do you have brush collection days? – We have drop off brush collection days on the last Saturday of the months of May thru October.
