Cohasset Elder Affairs Cohasset Elder Affairs OUTREACH Our Outreach program Assistance with applications for: The Ride, Medicaid, Handicap Plates, Hospital Free Care, Food Stamps QMB, SLMB, Prescription Advantage, Are you OK? and Fuel Assistance; is available in the office. Various programs are available for Cohasset citizens which include: health insurance information; nutrition programs, (Meals on Wheels and congregate meals), friendly visitor, telephone reassurance, caregiver supportfor home bound elders. Program information is available by calling Carol Barrett at (781) 383-9112.. In addition, volunteers who are interested in visiting an elder on a regular basis are always welcome. The Christmas Angel Program attracted 16 individuals who donated a gift basket to 16 elders in the community. Also, 16 Cohasset families raked leaves this Fall for elders. If you van give some time to help an elder, please call Martha Horsefield at (781) 383-9112.. Stop by 3 North Main Street for a visit of call and ask for a home visit from Carol and receive additional information regarding the above programs and/or offer suggestions for meeting needs of Cohasset senior citizens.
