When does the Board of Selectmen meet? For most of the year, the Board of Selectmen meets every other Monday night at 7:00 PM in the Selectmen’s office at Town Hall. Meeting notices are posted at Town Hall and on this web site.
How do I request to be placed on the agenda of an upcoming meeting? Requests must be placed in writing or sent by e-mail to the Town Manager. The letter or e-mail should clearly state the purpose of the agenda item to ensure the matter is properly within the jurisdiction of the Selectmen. All supporting information for consideration by the Selectmen must be provided to the Town Manager’s office no later than the Thursday prior to the Selectmen’s meeting at which the issue will be discussed
If I am interested in serving on an appointment board or committee appointed by the Board of Selectmen, how do I apply for consideration? Citizens are encouraged to apply for consideration by sending a letter of interest to the Selectmen’s office or by e-mail to the Town Manager at wgriffin@townofcohasset.org. In the letter, candidates are encouraged to explain their interest in the committee and their background and experience.
How do I apply for a license to sell alcoholic beverages or food? Applications for annual and one day liquor licenses may be obtained in the Selectmen’s office at Town Hall. At that time, a member of the Selectmen’s staff will review the application form and other requirements with the interested party.
